He is a singer, poet, songwriter, a record producer and so much more. The man called 2face Idibia was born Innocent Ugah Idibia, a native of Okpokwu local government area in the Idoma ethnic group, southern part of Benue State, Nigeria. This multi-talented export from Nigeria started calling himself 2face in 1996 referring to his versatile personality, he's dynamite on stage, and a cool calculated individual when you sit down one on one, two aside. He was a member of the defunct R&B/Hip Hop group Plantashun Boyz (other members of the group being Faze and BlackFace) where we caught glimpses of his potential, before he launched out by himself. We all remember his hit song "African Queen" in 2004 which was used as a sound track for the Hollywood movie "Phat Girls" but he hasn't stopped there, dazzling us with hit track after hit track; with song titles such as "Rain Drop", Implication, Be There, and Enter The Place, which are making waves in clubs and parties not just in Nigeria, but in the UK and U.S. 2Face has four (4) Albums to his credit: Face 2 Face in 2004, Grass 2 Grace in 2006, The Unstoppable in 2008 and The Unstoppable (International Edition) in 2010. His talent as a singer and an entertainer has won him many accolades and laurels around the world. 2011 was a particularly memorious year for 2baba as he is also popularly called by his teeming fans, as he appeared on BBC London, on CNN's African Voices, and on BET twice (Monique & Welcome To America), 2face was also nominated in almost every award he was eligible for with the best being his nomination at the BET Awards. In addition he was nominated at the Channel O Awards, The Headies, NEA Awards, where he swept away numerous awards. He is undoubtedly one of the brightest stars to ever come out of Africa.
