John Dumelo (born February 3, 1984) is a Ghanaian actor and humanitarian. He was nominated for categories Most Promising Actor and Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 6th and 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards respectively. On 1 April 2014, he became the first Ghanaian citizen to hit a million likes on Facebook

Dumelo is the son of Mr John and Mrs Antoinette Dumelo and is the last child and only boy out of three children. He had his Primary education at Christ the King International School in Accra, Ghana, where he was selected by GAMA Film Company to play the role of a pupil in the movie "Baby Thief", alongside his elder sister. John Dumelo joined the Drama club at his Secondary School at Achimota School (now nicknamed Motown). He graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007, where he majored in Civil Engineering.

John Dumelo featured in television series such as "Sun City" and "About to Wed" before making his debut in Ghollywood movie "The King is Mine", where he played the role of a King alongside Jackie Appiah in 2008.

Along with his acting career, the award-winning actor manages a real-estate company full-time and partners an IT firm. John also has his own fashion line called, J.MELO, and is also heavily involved in charity work.
