Shan George hails from Edida in Abi Local Government Area, Cross River State. Her father, Mr. Gordon Walker George was a British expatriate. She got married at the age of sixteen, according to the traditions of her place. The marriage produced 2 children.

In 1996, she gained admission into the University of Lagos to study Mass Communication. She worked behind the camera in National Television Authority (NTA) alongside her schooling. Her first TV appearance was a soap opera titled ‘Wind of Destiny’. She got her first role in the movie ‘Thorns of Rose’ there after. She got a major role in the soap opera ‘After the Storm’. In her final year in school, Shan produced her movie titled ‘All for Winnie’.

The proud mother of two is an actress, scriptwriter and a producer.
