Theo Ukpaa aka “Tiger” was born May 30. A young filmmker who has spread his directing skills over 3 continents; Nigeria, London and the USA.

Theo started his arts career in Los Angeles in 2008 after his MBA and film school. He studied filmmaking from Saba Film Institute.

Theo shot his first short Film, “The Cheater” in 2009 and had 12 nominations from Film festivals from Europe and America. He has lent his creative production arts to Soundcity, Trace TV, British Council, Goethe Institute and CNN Africa. Theo has critically acclaimed credits and awards to his name as producer, director and writer in short films at various international film festivals.

Theo has been producing and directing TV Commercials for big brands like MTN, GLO, Stanbic IBTC, and Fidelity Bank.

He is a seasonal director, Producer and Writer with Four TV shows to his credit: Dateline (A Dating show on Africa Magic), Celebrity Chef (A cooking show that celebrates seasoned chefs), My Trophy Wife (a sitcom about a Nigerian Deportee), Frankly Speak (A guide to young relationships and war of the sexes).

He is currently working on directing his first feature film: “Run”.

Theo is the CEO at TIGER REPUBLIC FILMS, a film and TV production company based in Lagos and Los Angeles.
