Synopsis
BOLA’S DIRGE is an avant-garde short film about the struggle of a young woman through poverty and the circumstances that lead her to a life of prostitution; and her quest for redemption when she chooses to keep a pregnancy. It’s a different take on the archetypal story of the prostitute with the ‘heart of gold’, breaking the fourth wall and urging the audience to engage with the film’s central character- a troubled, troublesome and strong-willed young woman.
