The movie tells the story of a Godfearing woman who loves her husband and is submissive to a fault. Having come from a wealthy home, she decides to give her husband all the power in the marriage because she wants him to feel like a man.
Her husband abuses her physically, verbally and even rapes her and yet she bears it all. She fights back for herself and her daughter. All seems to be normal for sometime until her husband reverts back to his abusive ways and beats her to death.
The cast of the movie played their roles brilliantly well. Ijeoma Grace Agu gets a big thumbs up from me for her excellent performance in playing her character as Onome. The lights and sound were also good; I could hear what was being said without the soundtrack of the movie blocking it out.
The movie was bold and honest in talking about domestic violence. My only problem with the movie is that nothing was said about the husband in the end. Does it mean that abusive men get away with their crimes?
