Emeka Ani hails from Amafor community in Ugbawka clan in Ukanu East Local Government Area, in Enugu State. He attended Awkunawnaw Boy’s secondary school and a technical school, Aba Boys Trade Centre, now Abia state. He further studied Business Administration at the University of Maiduguri.

Emeka Ani started acting in 1989, featuring in a soap opera called “Under the Sun”, which was directed by Solomon Anyanwu. He starred in a first movie titled “Betrayal” but came to limelight in the movie titled “Battle of Musanga” where he played the role of a chief priest.

Now at his mid 50?s, heavily bearded Chief Emeka Ani has starred in over 100 movies. He is married with 5 children.
