Joy Ladi Torty, a native of Plateau State, born and bred in Kaduna State. She attended Narayi Primary School and now a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Jos. She is the former Miss UNIJOS ’2003, and won the Miss Northern Universities beauty pageant in 2002. She was named the Best New African Actress by the organizers of the yearly Zulu African Film Academy Awards (ZAFAA).

Joy a talented actress found her way into the movie industry and has since featured in over 15 movies.
