Before making acting his full time job, Reginald received a medical degree at Columbia University and worked strongly to fight the ever-growing aid epidemic in Hai­ti. He wrote and produced his first movie which won over 5 awards in Haiti and all over the world. He is often regarded as one of the greatest actors to come from the Caribbean.
