Stephanie Onyekachi Okereke hails from Imo State and was born on October 2, 1982. She is the sixth child of eight children. She attended Ahor Primary School and St. Bridget's Girls Grammar School, both in Delta State.

At the age of fifteen, she featured in "Waterloo" and "Compromise " In 1998, she proceeded to the University of Calabar to study English and Literary Studies. Not long after she gained admission, she featured in the movie "Terror".

In 2002, she was the runner up for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant. She has won several awards for her work. In 2003, she won the Reel Award for the Best Actress. the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress.

On graduating from the New York Film Academy in 2007, she released the movie titled "Through the Glass" which was later nominated for the Best Screenplay in 2009. Stephanie has featured in over 100movies.

In April 2009, the A-list actress was honored with a Jewel Award at the 6th Annual African Goodwill Awards for her positive representation of African women through her charity work and her evolving movie career.

She is an actress, director, scriptwriter, producer and a model. Stephanie is the CEO of Next Page Productions and an executive of DEL YORK International a media and marketing communications company. She was married to a former Super Eagles football player, Chikelue Iloenyosi but they got officially separated in 2007.
