Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw!, was born and raised in Lagos. He is a actor with over 14yrs experience, having worked with BBC and involved in several soap opera and home videos, popular among which are Twilight Zone, Flatmates, Dear Mother and Fuji House of Commotion. He attended Lagos State University, Ojo, where he obtained a diploma in Radio, TV and Film Production, a degree in Theater Arts and majored in Theater Marketing.

Yaw started his radio presenting career at Wazobia FM in 2007, where he now handles the popular early morning talk programme Make Una Wake.
